Building the Future

For the past three years, Thom Mayne has been teaching 6th graders about architecture and the power of urban design at the Hall School in Bridgeport, CT. Though they’re only in elementary school, the students are now working at the level of middle- or high-schoolers. This year, they have created an accurate 3D model of their classroom and are building on the model with abstract installations of their own design.
